From 12–14 December 2022, the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) convened its flagship Effective Development Co-operation Summit, charting the path toward new sustainable development pathways at the midpoint of the 2030 Agenda. Co-hosted by the Co-Chairs — Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of Congo, Switzerland, and Reality of Aid – Africa — the Summit came at a defining moment, as the world grappled with compounding crises of pandemic recovery, conflict, climate shocks, and economic instability.

Bringing together Ministers and high-level representatives from governments, civil society, the private sector, multilateral development banks, and other stakeholders, the Summit focused on moving from commitment to action. It examined how the global development co-operation landscape has shifted and underscored the urgent need to transform how we work together — building partnerships that are more inclusive, transparent, and accountable to the people they serve.
