HEROES OF TOMORROW
United Nations
SDG Action Campaign
The Heroes of Tomorrow activation was an interactive experience designed to highlight changemakers as the bridge between today’s challenges and tomorrow’s future. As creative lead, I developed the concept, narrative, and design — transforming the symbolic superhero cape into a participatory framework that embodied connection, responsibility, and hope.
At the heart of the activation were six themed cape cards — Gender Equality, Peace, Human Rights, Food Security, Climate Action, and Prosperity. Each card invited participants to step into the role of a Hero of Tomorrow by adding their name to the statement:
“As a Hero of Tomorrow, I, ________, will be a bridge for [chosen theme] towards a better future.”
Participants tied their cards to a collective installation that grew throughout the ceremony. The design — two white arches inspired by the SDG wheel — formed a walkable bridge, symbolizing the passage from present challenges to future possibilities. As each card was added, the arches transformed into a vibrant tapestry of shared commitment, visually echoing the interconnectedness of the SDGs.
The bridge was intentionally designed to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring that all participants, including those with mobility aids, could contribute to the act of placing their cards.
Blending symbolism, storytelling, and interactivity, the activation enabled attendees to carry their card home as a personal reminder of their role as everyday heroes. More than an installation, the Heroes of Tomorrow Activation reimagined how ceremony moments can double as participatory SDG segments — showing that not all heroes wear capes, but together we can build the bridge to the future we need.
